...was shown at a pre-screening of the Transformers movie I was lucky enough to see today. It was awesome by the way. But anyways, let me get on to what I stated in the subject.

"Cloverfield". That is the name it has been given so far, and is being directed by JJ Abrams, the Executive Producer of "LOST". For those of you who have not seen it, I will fill you in.

The scene opens up with a digital camera filming a Going Away party for a teenage boy named Rob. He is going to Japan. He is drinking with his friends, dancing, and having a good time. However, things quickly change. There is an enormous boom, and the power shuts down and comes back on. As the teens head outside, they turn in time to see New York suddenly engulfed in a huge fireball. The kids scream in terror as molten shrapnel flies toward them, and they take cover. The shrapnel lands nearby, spraying dust everywhere. As the dust clears, the scene is now in the heart of New York. There is more monstrous roaring, and an object comes flying out of the sky, slamming into a building and then landing in the street. The kids scream, "Oh my God!" over and over at the sight of the Statue of Liberty's head in the street. The trailer ends there at that moment.

It is said to be some giant monster movie similar in a way to the "Blair Witch Project", in terms of camera type and possibly story. I could be wrong, though.

I thought it was the highlight of all the trailers shown there. It was awesome, and whatever movie it is showcasing, I can't wait to see it.
